Reggie and Karney = leaders
I'm not sure if everyone caught this or not, but after Mare made that last field goal, Reggie motioned for the guys on the sideline to follow him out on the field to congratulate him. I thought that showed great leadership.
If you listen to Reggie when he's put on the podeum to answer questions he always says things like " Coach Payton says ...." , in other words, he edifies coach Payton. Another trait of a good leader. Late in the 4th quarter when the Saints were on offense and up by 3 scores, it was reported that Karney got in the face of each individual offensive lineman and said something like "Come on! let's keep it going!". Some of the linemen chuckled because Karney was so intense. This kind of leadership is going to make the Saints a good team for a long time. |

Re: Reggie and Karney = leaders
The more I read about this game the more I wish that I could have seen it.
I followed it as much as possible online and was generally excited. I noticed a few big plays from Gray and the big return by Jones-Drew and would slump in my chair and glare at the computer as if it were the computers fault. Good times again! |
