Delhomme gone, Testaverde hurting, Carr concussion
David Carr suffered a concussion in the Panthers game against the Titans yesterday. Delhomme's already out, and Testaverde has an injured Achilles Tendon (probably from not stretching after 5 years of inactivity). That leaves them with one VERY inexperienced QB in Matt Moore. Anybody think there's a chance they'll be calling Aaron Brooks number soon? |

I bits and pieces of the game, the Panthers offense is awful, all good for the Saints, a little help doesn't hurt.
Steve Smith hasn't been a factor this season, he's handled their bad play very good I think, I'd love to have him as a Saint if he one day wishes to leave the Panthers. It's the Bucs I think we have to worry about some right now. |

The Panthers are in bad shape right now at QB, at least Carr looks like he is going to be OK. I think they will need to sign another QB. This is a big plus for the Saints, but as banged up as Carolina is right now, they are still a legitimate contender for the division crown. I am not sure if the Panthers would want sign Brooks, but I guess it's always possible. John Fox will do whatever it takes to keep that team in contention.

Fox will need to go after a QB next year for sure... Bye-bye Jake. |

I have no idea why they wouldn't sign AB. Who would you rather face? Testaverde or AB? How about Carr or AB? I think he gives a team a better shot at winning than both those guys.

Honestly, I'd rather face AB than either Carr or Testeverde. That's how highly I think of him.

Read on NFL.com Carolina signed QB Drew Olson to the practice squad. Also the Vikings signed QB Toy Detmer. Who knows 8-9 more qbs go down Brooks might be gettin a call. I wonder if when he said he thinks it might have been something he said if he thinks teams have gotten some of his postgame interviews from his playin days. I pulled for him when he was a Saint but I always wondered how exactly he was able to communicate what the plays were to his teammates.

You think AB got smarter and more capable since his plaguelike presence in New Orleans?
Wish him on one of our opponents. |
