draft question on mcfadden
ok, say its draft day and mcfadden is on the board when we pick. what do we do? now i realize we dont need more money tied up at the RB position so dont get on me about that, but without deuce our offense has become way too stagnant and predicable. i think we're really missing the two back set at times. we need a bruiser and for some reason the coaches wont play PT along side reggie (or at all for that matter). i think we are going to need to address this at some point in the off season. mcfadden will be a force in the league and its hard to pass up on someone of his caliber even though we obviously need defensive help first.
I dont think deuce is going to be a shade of what he once was his age, knees, rehab and contract are all working against him. i love deuce and i dont wanna see him let go, but his contract isnt helping us. so just a thought, what should we do if mcfadden is there and we havent addressed the need for another RB by draft day? |

LOL we would have to tank the rest of the season to even talk about this one. RB is a concern, as we know because duce is on his third knee operation. I have no idea what the saints are going to do.

We draft a CB....
I think we should draft McFadden only if he can cover man to man |

Re: draft question on mcfadden
If McFadden is still on the board by the time the Saints pick, it means we've managed to lose more games than the Dolphins and Rams.
Either way, look for Payton to pick up another hotshot WR from Tennessee, so we can clean out his knee and put him on payroll. Then if McFadden is still around by the 2nd round, we'll pick him up. Then we'll sneak in an O-Line pick. Then if we still have any picks left and haven't traded them for other offensive pieces, we'll pick up a CB from Lincoln Memorial Jr. College in Warsatawnee, New Hampshire. Then we'll sign a whole bunch of fruitless Undrafted Free Agents via other teams whom they've failed to impress but who possess a lot of character. |

pass. We need corner and lb help far more than a running back. We've got two on the roster who can suit it up and bruise, but won't use them for some reason. Why add a third?

Re: draft question on mcfadden
…screw the draft…
Trade whatever trade for the 1st and 2nd picks and go for Asomugha, Samuel, Sanders, and Haynesworth in FA. Just land 2 of them…. ... Asomugha and Haynesworth would me my must haves |
