This team is maddening

One bad half, one good half. 4 bad games, 4 good games. 2 losses. One win. Look like bums one week, like champs the next. I hate this ride at the fair, and it really drives me crazy. Now all of our hopes are up that we can beat the Bucs next week and jump back into the division race. Which means that they will lose of course. Every time I think Im out they suck me back in.

growing pains man. growing pains. this is only year 2 of the rebuild. time to get on a roll again. last time it was 4 losses and then 4 wins. lets pray for 6 wins after the last two losses. Heck I want the next two most. But Tampa is key.

I don't care if they wear togas if they win. This bunch is maddening to say the least. Defense looked good today. And I think David found a new way to contribute. If you can't let them catch a long bomb, at least interference call on yourself. Now you got to admit, it's relativly new. MM played his butt off today and had a great game. I think maybe his best as a Saint. Again, Hollis Thomas was impressive. Hell the whole defensive line played well. Linebackers didn't do terrible. Sometimes they just amaze me.

Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot, than to open it and remove all doubt!!!!!

I just want to see one good show every week - EVERY week. One at a time. Prepare for the Bucs...kick that butt...then let's sit down and get ready for the Falcs. I like how we had the ball almost 40 minutes. That is the best way to help our defense on a regular basis. Not be predictable...use PT and Stecker even when Bush is feeling OK. Give Drew some options - thats when he plays his best. Let (almost) everyone be a contributer to the win. Put some fresh fire on the field now and then and keep these guys focused and paying attention and not just standing around. 36/35 throws to runs: I LIKE THAT! Carolina is not Tampa, but they were a good workout coming up to next week. I almost wish that we were playing in Tampa.

Re: This team is maddening

We didn't have a bad half. What are you guys talking about?

I think you've been influenced by Sean Payton.

We won today because we were patient. THAT'S how you gameplan offensively. The whole, let's throw for a touchdown every play philosophy rarely works and makes your team extremely inconsistent. That's why we looked like garbage in our losses.

Even when running the ball doesn't seem like it's working, you keep doing it. Because later, it opens up a whole other realm of possibilities.

You guys got spoiled, along with SP, with our bit of success playing Mike Martz (pass happy) ball. THIS (today's gameplan) is how you call an offense. This is how you win games.

This isn't a video game. This is football.

I like Garcia he is tough competitor, but he did get clocked in the Skins game and was sidelined. I do not wish him any bad will but he is the key to the Bucs offense wouldnt hurt to see him moving a little slower in the Dome.
