where was Carolina crowd?

was it just me, or did anyone else notice how bad the Carolina crowd was from the start of the game and of course it got worse as game went on. the stadium holds 74,500 and the official game book from nfl site http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamece...R_Gamebook.pdf says "paid attendance" was 72,032, we all know darn well that paid does NOT equal "actual". id say actual was at best 50,000 at start of game and maybe 35k early 4th qtr. id bet if that game was in the dome we'd prob be near full. but it clearly shows (surprisingly) how little the Carolina fans care about that mess of a team there right now. granted the weather was a bit on the dreary side, and it rained a bit, but come on. I know he has some good excuses (injuries at QB), but could this be the end of the John Fox era?

Re: where was Carolina crowd?

Yeah that caught my attention as well. Seemed like it was just over 50 percent attendence. I think they called it a season already.

I believe that they haven't won a home game since sometime in '06. That probably contributes to a lackluster turnout.

You are right. They announced it several times yesterday.

The Saints continue to pack the Dome, reason being they love their Saints no matter their record...

Re: where was Carolina crowd?

I almost feel bad for those guys. I've always thought Panthers fans were a classy crowd. Remember the props they gave us for the first game after Katrina?

If they still had Jake "the Cajun Man" Delhomme in there, things would be different.
