With the big holes the line were making throughout the game right up the middle, we should have ran it up the gut. Oh well.

DING DING DING...We have ourselves a winner.

.. not only was it the wrong play at the wrong time, but Bush was clearly hobbling. He should not have been on the field.

Everyone here is wrong.

The play that cost us the game was the Defense not stopping Tampa on that 4th down. Gruden called his FG unit back and went for it challenging our D. That was the Game right there. Yeah Payton made a screwball call too that was poorly executed at the wrong time but that didn't cost us the game.

But it definately was a factor... we gave up field position and brought down the morale of the team.

Wanting Sean fired right now is very premature, yes he called a play that didn't work but more important was the timing.
Payton will be OK, I wouldn't trade hire anyone over him right now, let's give him a couple of more years to show us what kind of coach he is.

You're right about the fact that it takes 60 minutes to lose a game but this game was in hand. A stupid play call is what killed this game. Sure we were outplayed, but that's happened many times to many teams throughout the years. It's not always the best team that wins. Sometime you get lucky and steal one. This one SHOULD have been stolen from Tampa.

If not for a stupid play call, we had a very good chance of winning that game. Execution of a play or not. One or two first downs and the game is over,Saints win. Even though we were outplayed.
