does this make you feel better
i emailed Usama Young. I basically gave some encouraging words for him and to pass on to the boys. I reminded them basically all they need is another 4 week run like they had earlier and they'd be playing in January. Told them not to quit because us as fans had seen that in other saints teams when things go south.
He emailed me back thanking me for the words then and the bottom of the E-Mail he typed in all caps THERE IS NO QUIT IN US awesome just awesome |

That's pretty cool. Regardless of the playoffs, I'd like us to finish out strong. Show the league last year was not a fluke and give us something to be encouraged about going into next year.

ditto that Joesam, everytime I see Usama on the field I see 100% hustle. He has really stepped in to fill the gap in Special Teams left with Gleason out with surgery.
Speaking of Gleason, hopefully we'll have him back healthy in 08 and free Usama up to cover the corner opposite MM. |

with the supposed adjustments payton is making, maybe we will actually get to see Usama on the field more.

Re: does this make you feel better
Usama was doing good, after a big play on SpecialTeams and near INT in the Seattle game, and then the next week had 5 solo tackles against Atlanta, then somewhere between the SanFran and the Jags game he got hurt and missed a few games. He looked to be back to full speed last week. So, hopefully he'll get some opportunities somewhere in these remaining 4 games.

Nothing is scarier than a rookie corner back, other than a midget veteran that bites on play action. Put this guy in. This week is perfect for him. Prime time, 3rd string QB.

Re: does this make you feel better
I think that now that are playoff hopes are virtually nil, we'll see him in for more playing time. I wouldn't be surprised if he replaces Jason David outright as the starter for the rest of the season.
