Best defensive Free Agents this Off-Season

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Haynesworth sure, but the guy I want to see in NO is Nnamdi Asomugha, the CB for the Raiders. The guy is 6-2, 210... he got 8 INTs in 2006, and this year no one is throwing his way....

.. now you are just trying to embarass me

... but seriously, no one is talking about him, because the Raiders blow big dessert wind. But this guy has coverage skills, and surely will not be outjumped by anyone.
Just by being near the WR, the WR looks covered. Guy's big for a CB.
Plus he's from Lafayette

I am familiar with him. But I think the Raiders will keep him. They are going to cut loss one or more RB in the off season so they will have the money.

Nnamadi would be my #1 target... wouldn't cost as much as the other guys but just as effective imo. Looks like Tennessee has over 40 million dollars in cap room for next season... our chances of getting him are quite slim now. We have around 34 mil.

Drafting a kid like C.Steltz would do wonders for our secondary. He's tough, can tackle and plays the ball pretty well for a SS. I said it before and I'll say it again, Harper was considered slow BEFORE his knee injury and now, he's pedestrian at best. J.Bullocks is the WORST FS in the league. PERIOD! He MUST, MUST be replaced if our secondary is to EVER improve. You'd think that he'd cheat over to JD's side considering teams pick on him almost exclusively. Nope, because he's a MORON!
Grant is hurt my man, give him a break. He's out there playing on a bum leg. And yes, he deserves every penny that we're paying him because of how hard and well he has played for this team in the past. He earned that contract. Just because he's hurt and isn't having a good season doesn't mean he's not going to bounce back.

If Tenn has that much in to spend why are we even mentioning Haynesworth?

On that note, I'd love to see Trufant or Asomugha. I dont think we can afford Sameul nor would I wanna give that kind of money to a CB.
