Re: Is Karney making Stecker look good
Karney makes every back that runs behind him look good. Maybe tonight Sean Payton will see what I have been saying all season...especially since Duece got hurt. I am almost, with the emphasis on almost, glad that Reggie is hurt. Better balance will always yeild a better result. At least tonight the defense has to guess what we will do.

Without Reggie there are less trick plays. They have to play better. I've not been a big Stecker fan, but after tonight that might be in danger. He sure played well tonight. I thought Pierre looked good too.

Stecker followed the blocking like the vet he is. Bush better watch the game tape.
PT looked really good. Not so much running the ball as the way he stepped up and picked up blitzing defenders. He is smarter than we all thought. I can only think of one time the defender beat him. He blocked well but was out played by a bigger and stronger player. Thats going to happen. He keeps this up he will be a sure thing for next year. |

Re: Is Karney making Stecker look good
It is the blitz pickups that earned Pierre Thomas a roster spot over Antonio Pittman. As runners they were about equal.
Karney is extremely valuable to the running game. Stecker looked really good because of the blocking he got. |

Re: Is Karney making Stecker look good
You guys all make excellent points. Having a solid "Deuce-type" running game is exactly what Reggie is missing. I think it was a mistake to make Reg the "feature back" right away. Our offense became stagnant as soon as that happened. Just think of all the wear and tear we could've saved Bush with more Karney, Steck and PT... Just my opinion
