How bout that O-LINE
Another good game by the o-line. NO sacks again. One of the commentators on MNF when they actually talked about the game thought it was worth stating they no team throws as much as the Saints and we have allowed the fewest sacks. We allowed 11 sacks goin into the game and when it was all finished we still have allowed only 11 sacks.
Brees had a lot of time for the wrs to get open and finish the route. It was nice to see him throw the ball to the wr and not just check down to Bush standing infront of a lb for a 4 yd gain. Brees is our best play maker and this team will go as far as he carries us. Still had a couple of dropped balls, that pass in the endzone to Johnson, but I think we have enough weapons at wr to use the pass to set up the run. The rbs actually ran the ball where the line made the holes. Seems like that is what was missing from our running game. Bush has to learn to run the ball where it is designed to go not try to run around the end every play. It might take some time for him to learn when to hit a hole maybe not run full speed to the line of scrimage but through it. |

This team has what it takes to go to the wildcard. The funny thing, if the Saints go to the wildcard, they win and go to the next level.

win. thats all we need to do. The OL played great. The pieces are there and we are close to something really special here. Some one please tell me how the two draft choices are looking. Will they be ready for next year?

Nice to see 0 sacks allowed again... and most importantly, the holes were there again this game for the running game. But this time, we averaged over 5 yards a carry and continued to run the football.
That's two straight games I thought our OL did a good job run blocking... though last game we did not take advantage of it. |

They looked good last night no doubt, but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. I'm not trying to be a downer or take away anything from the win, but it was against the Falcons. A win is a win and I'll take it, but we need to play like that every week.

I saw 6 by Evans and 4 by Stinchcomb. These are the horrible plays, not bad or average. Drew Brees played great IN SPITE of the O line, if he had protection he would be all world and we would be talking about him as a top 3 QB instead of a top 8. I am tired of the WE ALLOWED NO SACKS OUR O LINE PLAYED GREAT B.S. If anyone in the online chat would like to point out where I showed all of them how poorly our line AS A WHOLE was playing feel free to jump in here. I pointed it out all night long. Do not get me wrong I think we can win out and if Minnesota loses we can go to the playoffs, but alas our O line is not playing as well as the paper stats makes them look to be playing. Someone else please help me out here. STOP THE INSANITY. |

Wow. Tell us how you really feel. If you don't calm down, I think the vein on your forehead is going to burst.
I'm glad you were watching the game looking for things to rant on the next day after a victory. I don't know whether or not you've watched the Pats last 3 games or so, Brady has been hit numerous times. Lines aren't perfect (and ours FAR from it)... they're going to make mistakes. As much as it's the lines job to give his quarterback enough time to throw, it's also the quarterbacks job to help them out and elude the rush. That's why they have legs. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |

I was wondering what in the hell was going on when another one of our lineman was hit backwards into a screen pass(once again) and almost tackled the ball carrier by himself. I am pulling hard, but I am always looking at MY FAVORITE TEAM, not the Patriots, Indy, Cowboys to see what their problem is. The Patriots by the way may not protect Brady greatly all the time, but they do not allow all the hurries and Brady has more time to throw than Drew does, from what I have seen people who watch all the film say. |
