Monday Night Football Espn

Sure was hard to enjoy the game last night with the ESPN crew at their usual finest. For the entire evening they couldnt get off Michael Vick. With all the issues surrounding NO and The Saint players and countless others doing positive things for the city. You would think they could have moved off all the time spent on a player convicted of such an atrocious act. It was hard not to like Vick, although he was always a rival he brought a lot of excitement to the game. Soon as the news came out and he was tied to the dog killing it was game over for me. I was glad Jim Mora Jr. got out of Dodge before the house came tumbling down. After all his dad brought a lot of credibility to The Saints and some of the most talented group of linebackers I can remember.
Then the icing on the cake we get an interview with Arthur Blank. Who when asked if Vick would be back in Atlanta makes this statement referring to Vick getting fat in prison eating fried chicken and french fries. This man is supposed to be a professional what a racist stereo-type statement to make. With all that has happened Vick did bring fans to the stadium and made him a lot of money. Nice thing to say!! Also the same vulture swooped down on the field in the fourth pecking at Petrino's neck and you know the rest of the story. During the whole night I can only remember the camera panning on Mr. Benson one time. ESPN MNF ***

Overall, it's a horrible team of broadcasters. Individually I think they are all decent, just as a team it's not the best mix. I did not have an issue with them talking about Vick, it was the biggest sports news story of the day. I also did not think Arthur Blank meant anything racist about his remarks regarding Vick, but he does need watch what he says. I was a little shocked when he said that too, but we all know that fried chicken and french fries are about the most fattening stuff a person can eat. I doubt he will get fat eating prison food... LOL

I don't want get into a racial argument but my interpatation of Blank's comment was that Vick could put on weight eating the not so healthy foods in prison with not much exercise. Yes he probably could have chosen his words a little more carefully but then again look who he is being interview by. It just upsets me everytime someone says a particular word he becomes a racist. I don't believe Arthur Blank is a racist. Don't you remember him pushing Vick around in a wheelchair a couple of years ago when Vick was hurt? Besides majority of Blank's money comes from his little company he started, The Home Depot not the Atlanta Falcons.

Out of the three, Kornheiser is the most annoying. Tirico I don't mind so much but it seems like he hardly gets a word in edgewise with Kornheiser. Jaws, meh, I could take him or leave him.

The three of them together just seem so glum and pessimistic. I hate...HATE listening to them call (if you can call it that) MNF.

Agreed. They might as well be the Marx brothers, except the Marx brother were at least funny. These guys are just terrible. I do agree the Tirico is the best of the bunch, in fact he's pretty good, but the other two gezzzzzzz, how bad can they be.

Do any of them have a contract? I sure hope not.

I could live with them dumping Kornheiser and bringing in someone else but for the love of all that's holy, get rid of him!
