They could have been doing a poor man's Duece all season. I have have been reading all of the yickidy-yack about we can't and we couldn't and we shouldn't run the ball ... hogwash! Sean P. had other things on his mind. I like the balance the and the unpredictability with Bush on the sideline. Brees and the Saints are much more effective when everybody is involved in the offense. It would be great to have Bush back in the lineup as long as Payton doesn't toss Stecker, Thomas, and Karney out with the bath water. I have been saying all year... 1) Run everybody in behind Karney 2) Keep Bush out of those one back sets (toooo predictable) 3) Motion him to the slot to get linebacker coverage 4) always give Brees multiple options...he'll make the right decision. Our defense will play much better when our offense controls the ball and they are able to stay fresh. We need to win out, and hope we get the help we need. We've given our share of gifts this year, maybe someone will return the favor.

This isn't the right quote at this time of the season. We are #7 in the conference and we hold all the tiebreakers against #6. Even after a 0-4 start, and giving away two crucial division games, the Saints actually have a decent shot of getting the #6 playoff seed.

I'd agree if we were #10 at 5-8 looking up at a ton of teams. But that isn't the case.

The Saints are in the playoffs right now because every game counts.
