At the start of the season, expectations were sky high in New Orleans. The Saints team that had fallen just one game short of the Super Bowl the previous year appeared to have gotten better in the off-season. Several new starters were signed on the defensive side of the ball, and depth had been added at many key positions, setting the table for this year's Saints team to make another run toward the big game. But 14 weeks, several devastating injuries and seven losses later, the team finds itself struggling to stay alive in the playoff hunt.
