Why Bullocks
I don't think that I have seen another thread about this, but why didn't KK get the start over Bullocks? Bullocks was out of position all day and was responsible for several of the defensive letdowns, especially in the first half.
Sometimes Coach leaves me scratching my head on his personnel decisions. Especially when KK comes out and proves that he can play the position for 2 games and Bullocks came out today an laid an egg. |
Re: Why Bullocks
I am sorry I don't have faith in any of our safties. They are all liabilities.

Re: Why Bullocks
let's see, KK the ball hawk loses the spot to jason david the sequel?!

Re: Why Bullocks
Yeah I'm not really sure what the hell Bullocks was doing in the game. In my eyes, and in the eyes of many a poster here at B&G, KK played markedly better football than any of our safeties. The guy is a ballhawk, a good cover safety, and comes up very well in run support. I remember when Payton came to New Orleans he said he would start whoever offered the team the best chance to win, and that he wouldn't play favorites. Well unless I have absolutely zero ability to assess football talent (which I don't believe to be true, and I hope some of you can vouch for), Payton is not playing the people who give the Saints the best chance to win. Simoneau, Jason David, Bullocks. Those three should never see the field, IMO. But they all start, and they're consistently caught out of positon, off guard, a step behind, and too weak to make an impact hit. PUKE.
By the way, speaking of those three, do we still have the vomiting emoticon? |

I do not know. I do not know. I do not know. WHY?

Re: Why Bullocks
BigEasy, if you've still got the game TIVO'd, go back and look at the Correll Buckhalter touchdown run. Same thing, Hollis gets double teamed, Simoneau, instead of reading the play, basically runs into the back of Thomas and watches Buckhalter run by him as he's basically getting a piggy-back ride from Hollis.

Re: Why Bullocks
Well, at least the Saints have KK for three more seasons. That should give plenty of time for the coaching staff to redeem themselves. Brian Simmons is another the Saints have for two more years. Now the bad part, Shanle is on for three more after this season. Gee...

Re: Why Bullocks
i just dont get it, i been a big support of bad luck bullocks, i figure he could turn out to somthin good, but boy has he hit the wall this season, and as far as kk and simmons maybe its somthin at practice for why they dont play.....

Re: Why Bullocks
I have to agree. I think the saints over coached stopping the run after last year. That opens up the play action pass

Re: Why Bullocks
The personnel decisions baffle me every week. Jason David starting over any of our other CB's I can't understand. Jason Craft is far from being the best CB in the league, but he is so much better than David. Atleast start Usama Young and gettin him in on some plays so he can develop. There's no way he's worse than David. Simoneau over Simmons I don't get. When Simmons was starting those few games about mid-season he was doing good. Simoneau can't read plays, he can't get off blocks, and he can't cover. And my mind was just blown when I saw Bullocks back in instead of KK. I admit, the first time I ever paid attention to KK was the preseason this year and I wasn't impressed. But after the last two weeks when he was in, he was great. I just can't figure it out. I don't like to question the coaching because they are professionals and they are there at practice and see alot of things I don't see...but man, an explanation would be nice.

Re: Why Bullocks
Oh and I forgot the thing that baffled me the most. The other week when Payton benched Harper because he missed a tackle, yet he leaves Jason David, Josh Bullocks, and Simoneau in week after week? I would just like an explanation, that's all.
