does anyone remember back in 2000 when Mike McKenzie was with Green Bay
and had knee injury? do you remember how bad it was? do you think he'll badly effected with another? In 2009, his base salary will be $4.45 million, which is reasonable for a starting cornerback. In addition to locking up McKenzie through the 2009 season, when he will be 34. do you think that we will keep him or trade him for draft picks or ask him to take a pay cut ala JOE Horn. think about this the Saints signed Horn to a six-year contract extension in 2005. On March 1, 2007, the New Orleans Saints asked the now 35-year old receiver (who had suffered a groin injury in the 2006 season and had consistent hamstring injuries in the past) for a pay cut. He refused and asked to be released. could this happen again? can't say i blame them from a viewpoint of its his second knee injury and he is 32 and he is going to be gone for a long while because of the injury happening so late in the year |
