Now for the Good News.
If about.com is right we are drafting in the #10 spot. Second to choice among all the 7-9 and teams. So one thing worked out for us in the end, By use loosing and all the other games finishing the way they did, We jumped up 4 spots in the draft.
1. Miami (1-15) 2. St. Louis (3-13) 3T. Atlanta (4-12) 3T. Kansas City (4-11) 3T. Oakland (4-12) 6. New York Jets (4-12) 7. New England (from San Francisco) (5-11) 8. Baltimore (5-11) 9. Cincinnati (7-9) 10. New Orleans (7-9) 11T. Buffalo (7-9) 11T. Denver (7-9) 13. Carolina (7-9) 14T. Detroit (7-9) 14T. Chicago (7-9) 16. Arizona (8-8) 17. Minnesota (8-8) 18. Houston (8-8) 19.. Philadelphia (8-8) Rest still have playoffs to decide ranking This is historically a gold mind pick. Teams trading up to get top ten fallers and the fact that it has the best chance of getting a solid starter. Combine hype and all that Bull have little effect on this spot in the draft. Look for the Saints to be wheeling and dealing. Lets start talking names like Sam Baker, OT, USC Calais Campbell, DE, Miami Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon Dan Connor, LB, Penn State Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky DeSean Jackson, WR, California Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State With the draft pick here, IMO, the saint would do well to hit the CB position in FA hard and get at least to young solid up coming CB. Unless we trade down or some of the Jr. come out we would be reaching big time here. Right now I like the ones I high lighted. Jackson is my impact player selection. But lets see what happens with the Jr. first. besides that is way to much money tied up on one position. Time to start talking to Dallas about trading down. Hey Jerry you game? Heck trade up only to trade back again. I am game for it. |
