All I know is Tony Elliott left me laughing, more times than I could count.

As fate would have it, his car was in the shop the day we agreed to talk about his life and football career. I was driving a two-seat Honda in those days, the first of two I've owned over the years. I agreed to give Elliott a lift to the watering hole in which we talked, and between the two of us, there wasn't a lot of room left in that ride once we managed to squeeze in the car.

"What is this, a Yugo?" Elliott intoned.
