Updated Mock Draft!
CheramieIII's 2008 NFL Mock Draft
Updated 1/23/08 1st Round Pick Team Position Player Name School Brief Description of the Pick 1 Miami DT Glenn Dorsey LSU New coach, new pick! 2 St. Louis DE Chris Long Virginia Need a lot of defense and Chris is a lot of DEFENSE! 3* Atlanta QB Matt Ryan Boston College You know they need a QB and Matt would be a good fit anywhere. 4* Oakland DT Sedrick Ellis USC You would think RB, instead a replacement for Sapp. 5* Kansas City OT Ryan Clady Boise State Protection for the QB will do wonders. 6 NY Jets RB Darren McFadden Arkansas He's going to make them a lot better on offense immediately. 7 New England (from 49ers) CB Mike Jenkins South Florida With Samuel and Gay likely to hit FA this will fill the void nicely. 8 Baltimore QB Brian Brohm Louisville Nuff said! 9 Cincinnati DE Vernon Gholston Ohio State 6'4", 260 lbs and a 4.58 40 time, this is a must pick. 10 New Orleans CB Aqib Talib Kansas The Saints won't pass on defense this year and a CB to boot. 11 Buffalo WR Malcom Kelly Oklahoma Great speed at 4.47 for his size 6'4", 217 lbs. 12 Denver WR DeSean Jackson California Need a boost on offense, say no more. 13 Carolina OT Jake Long Michigan Delhomme will be thankful for this pick. 14 Chicago QB Andre Woodson Kentucky You knew there were going to get a QB right? 15 Detroit CB Reggie Smith Oklahoma Speed kills and in this case opposing wide receivers. 16 Arizona DE Calais Campbell Miami Great pick for a team in need of a pass rush. 17 Minnesota OLB Keith Rivers USC BPA on defense and Rivers it definitely it! 18 Houston RB Jonathan Stewart Orgeon Great pick up for Houston, especially with the defense improving. 19 Philadelphia DT Kentwan Balmer North Carolina They may lose a DT to FA so this is a need pick but a good one! 20 Dallas (from Cleveland) S Kenny Phillips Miami Big, fast and can play cornerback too! 21 Tampa Bay** WR James Hardy Indiana Great hands and at 6'6" not many can cover him. 22 Washington** DE Derrick Harvey Florida Need some pass rush, NOT ANYMORE! 23 Seattle** OT Sam Baker USC Pick up some needed pass protection and run blocking. 24 Pittsburgh** OT Jeff Otah Pittsburgh 6'6", 340 lbs, can open any hole you want. 25 Tennessee** WR Early Doucet LSU They need a weapon and he's sort of like a missile, yeah he is! 26 NY Giants** CB Leodis McElvin Troy State The Giants keep the defense rolling. 27 San Diego** OLB Dan Connor Penn State Great addition and immediate impact player. Like they need more. 28 Jacksonville** TE Fred Davis USC Big Target with great hands. 29 Green Bay** RB Rashard Mendenhall Illinois Definite need and definite great pick. 30 San Francisco (from Colts)** WR Adarius Bowman Oklahoma State Big guy at 6'4", 215 lbs and a 4.48 40, not to shabby. 31 Dallas** RB Steve Slaton West Virginia Double J might be gone and a Slaton/Barber backfield is scary. 32 No Pick (Patriots forfeit) 2nd Round Dre Moore, DT, Maryland 3rd Round Beau Bell, ILB, UNLV 4th Round Darnell Terrell, CB, Missouri 5th Round Andy Studebaker, OLB, Wheaton 6th Round Kevin O'Connell, QB, San Diego State 7th Round Alexis Serna, Kicker, Oregon State |

Re: Updated Mock Draft!
Oakland would have to be sane to pick someone like Ellis, so he won't go #4.
Atlanta has a defensive minded coach and understands how to manage game situations.... ball control = running back. McFadden. New Orleans looks for more of an anchor than an island player. LB - Dan Connor. But, you're right, Golf and sex ARE the only things you can enjoy without being good at.... |

Re: Updated Mock Draft!
Damn you noticed that too B, good call at least your paying attention.
Ellis will go 4th. Sapp is done and they need someone to replace him. Mcfadden is good but I don't think as good as everyone thinks. The run was all Arkansas had and if you run the ball 900 times a game your liable to break at least 1 or 2 for long TD's. He won't get half as many looks in the NFL too many other ego's on the team. Connor is a big reach at 10. |

That 4.82 is not a misprint. Moore, who excels at stopping the run and getting to the quarterback, is a workout warrior. He'll bench 225 pounds at least 30 times. He has also notched a 34-inch vertical in the past. Player Bio: Dre Moore :: Football This site even followed suit with my pick. Beau Bell, UNLV Height: 6-1. Weight: 245. 40 Time: 4.57. Led UNLV in tackles before missing a good portion of the 2006 season with an ankle injury. Can play outside and inside. Player Bio: Beau Bell :: Football |

Mickey has said that they will take BPA, I disagree with the strategy but I believe him, so according to your mock i'd say Jake Long OT
