this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Leodis Mckelvin Was watching the Senior Bowl Practice and this guy has got skills. If he could catch he would be really good. Not sure if he would be worthy of a top ten pick I wouldn't mind having him ...

Re: Leodis Mckelvin
LSU CB Chevis Jackson continues to impress. He is consistently in the hip pocket of the South wide receivers, and he has a thicker body with good strength to battle through the routes or to come up and play the run. Jackson is aggressive and will hit. Even Avery, possibly the fastest prospect in the 2008 class, was not able to escape Jackson today. These Senior Bowl practices have been great for Jackson's stock.
what about Chevis, he been looking good too. second round pick |

Re: Leodis Mckelvin
We pick pretty high in the second round... I'm sure he'll still be there. His speed is going to dictate how high he goes. And with a 4.6 40, he'll probably be a late second rounder unless a cover 2 system decides to snatch him up first. Hopefully he has can get his time into the 4.5s... he definately possess solid man skills.

I think Jackson would be a great pickup, but I also think he'll be around in the 3rd. With a deep LB class, I think we could get a really good pick in the 2nd at LB.

Re: Leodis Mckelvin
If we have the same starting LB's next season, everybody needs to be fired.

I still like young. Watch him next year. He will be solid. He had a lot of learning to do and was held back by injury.
As for Mckelvin I want to see what he can do in the game and at the combine. He might be an upper third rounder. Can you say hyped? lets see. |

Coaches love this kid for who he will be. So, like Meach, I think we all reserve judgment until he's actually playing in his role. |
