Trevor Laws was an outstanding player. Could play inside in the 4-3 or outside in the 3-4. The question is whether his college production equates to pro potential. He's short (I don't recall his exact size) for a DE/DT and that will likely cause him to slide in the draft as opposed to where his production and skills might actually warrant him being selected. He's certainly not a speed guy, or for that matter a run stuffer...he just kind of finds a way to be around the ball carrier.

As a ND fan it was a privilege to watch him for 3, and almost the better part of 4 years. He's the type of person I would want on my team, even if it's just in a reserve role, though even I question how he will be in the NFL.

Re: Trevor Law DT

From the information I found on him, it sounds like he may not be drafted. Maybe a very late round pick for someone. He looks like he would be a very nice project on the practice squad, I would never rule a guy like this out. He may not have the size, but a guy like this could turn out to be a play maker.

Re: Trevor Law DT

he should be a lower mid round guy. IMO No later than the 4th. The words football IQ and well coached go with him. His technique is almost perfect and has to be because of his size (6-1, 296).
(Hmm same size as Ellis. Has to make you stop and think. If law can get handle by larger OL because of size alone could the same thing happen to Ellis at the NFL level? Is this a just label to give him or is this something to consider when talking about Ellis?)
Trevor reads and reacts better than most. The fear is he may have peaked already, so the upside maybe limited. play maker is not really a word to attach to him. Productive is though.
He will find a home in the NFL and add solid depth to a DT rotation somewhere.
