Re: Give me your pick

Crusader, what's going on? Haven't heard from you in a while. Any sunshine recently in Sweden?

I would love to see us get a CB in free agency and a DT in the second round, but I just don't know if Payton is as committed to defense as he needs to be. And if we were going to get a corner in FA, and take a LB/DT with our first two picks, I'd rather see us go with Sedrick Ellis first because he has true top 10 potential. I don't think Connor's ceiling is very high, but Ellis can be an absolute stud in this league. Also, if we take Ellis at #10, we could take advantage of the LB class being deeper this year than the DTs. So what I'm saying is that if we reverse the order, we get better value of each pick. I'm thinking Ellis in the first, and then a linebacker (Xavier Adibi, Erin Henderson, Phillip Wheeler, Jerrod Meyo).

No sunshine for the Swedes as of right now.

No he's not but wants to win. Defence is the most glaring need and I do believ he sees that. Im Meachem comes along we'll have him and Colston with Moore, Copper and Patten as backups, thats an ok group. Deuce, Reggie, Thomas, Karney and Stecker (if we keep him) is a solid group. Brees is great, hopefully Palko will be ready to take some snaps this year if called upon. Martin bye bye, bring McPherson back.

The only real needs we have on offence is a stud TE, Eric Johnson wass a dissapointment I thought. However I don't se any TE worth drafting in the first riund, atleast not that high, no Vernon Davises this year. OL is a good passblocking unit but lacks someone like Turley or Bentley that hates the opponent and loves to runblock. Thats missing but I do believe we might have that on the bench already.

I think Sean Payton knows all this and therefor I think we'll see us go after D in the draft, not all rounds but atleast 4 and 3 times in the first 4. A DT in the first round might be wise but I'm a little scared since the drafting of lard-boy Sullivan.

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.
