Hello Everybody!!

Sorry I've been m.i.a., but school was a major priority for me, and studying took up all of my time pretty much.

I've been popping in every now and then, and reading, not posting. Sometimes to be a better speaker, you have to learn how to listen (or read, in the case of forums)

Anyway, not a great season, but not as bad as it could have been. I have noticed alot of flack pointed in Coach Payton's direction, although I'm not surprised. I believe it was me, that said if he had a bad season, praise would turn to scrutiny, ala Haslett.

Once again, I am glad to be back, although not full time. Here we go, let's rock n' roll!

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

Re: Hello Everybody!!

Welcome back saintpaul25! Put those damn books down for a minute and kick it with us. No, probably nothing in this forum is going to get you smarter, but at least it's not as boring as those text books you have been reading lately.

There is one thing I am going to recommend to you. Read anything you can regarding Steve Estopinal. He is the top notch civil engineer in the state of Louisiana. Even if your exact studies has nothing to do with civil engineering, there is something to be learned by everything this man says.

Re: Hello Everybody!!

I'm actually a history major, so I've been neck deep in Greek and Roman civilization, as well as the creation of Christianity. Whew! But I will check that out. I'm actually reading Tsun Tsu's Art of War right now. Pretty intense.

Re: Hello Everybody!!

remember this for the draft:
All warfare is based on deception.

The predraft is the diversion.
Method and discipline of this diversion is crucial for it success.

Hold out baits to entice the enemy.

The one who loses a battle makes but few calculations beforehand.

So on and so on

gotta love how you can use it for football. Good stuff. I have read it a couple of times now. It comes in handy for business too. LOL Appear weak and let the others become arrogant and then strike. Gotta love it.
