Jenkins played well for the Bulls as a senior in '07, notching three interceptions as well as a kickoff return for a touchdown (and a 30.4 average on seven returns). He has good size (6-0, 200) and speed (4.49) and could develop into an above-average cornerback and solid return man at the next level.

no this is what the Saints do with the 10 pick first they pick up lance biggs in free agency then they draft dan conner the you let usma young start are draft one in the second round

That is correct, no corner drafted in the 1st round has ever worked out for the Saints. Of course the Saints drafted a corner in the first round only once in their entire franchise history. The year was 1996, Alex Molden. No wonder the position has struggled so bad over the years.

Wasn't that the year where Jim "PLAYOFFS?" Mora said he needed help on 'offense', but got lame duck Molden, a DB and RB Eddie George was still on the board?

I rather do the reach in later rounds.

The kid from troy Leodis McKelvin, scares me the most.

Jenkins is tempting but he scares me.

Aqib Talib to me is the safer bet and I think he is more flexible in postion were he could be switched to FS.

CB has to play right away and in the NFL it is a steep learning curve no matter what school you come from. But heck any CB in the top 20 is a gamble. None are Sanders material.

i'd like to go with lb or ot in the first, and corey williams, thomas-zack, and a free agent corner, and also one in the second rd. that's my plan!!! for what its worth. then either lb or ot in the third depending on what we do in the first.

Steve McNair was picked like 3rd overall and he played for Alcorn State, which isn't exactly a powerhouse. If a guy can play, he can play.

If we're going for a corner we need to get one that fits our system; Talib is just too slow to play corner in a man to man scheme. Jenkins would be a solid guy, just like McKenzie, but if you knew the kind of career McKenzie was going to have, would you take him 10 overall? McKelvin has huge upside and is an absolute perfect fit for a man to man defense. If we go corner in the first, he's the guy we have to target.
