For whatever reason, i hate having interest in players that no one had ever heard of until their senior season or until the senior bowl. His name is completely unfamiliar to me and i had never heard of him until the senior bowl. I feel that way about every position but mainly defensive tackles.
And coming from North Carolina, its not like he had great players playing in front of him forcing him to not play much until his senior year. |

Re: Saints attention is on a D-tack
Sounds like a smoke screen. There is no way anyone in their right minds would consider Balmer at #10. Now if Balmer slips to the second round, then yes. Then again, we are talking about the Saints... LOL

Re: Saints attention is on a D-tack
if we go with balmer at 10 then i will finally come to the conclusion that this franchise is going nowhere and we are constantly fated to mediocrity. of course that would be after i projectile vomit everywhere.

Re: Saints attention is on a D-tack
Hey Mat I agree with the smoke screen theory. Balmer is not a top 10 pick. I would not mind taking him if we traded back for another 2nd or 3rd rounder. This is the deepest draft I've ever seen, 1/2 of the 2nd rounders would be 1st rounders in any other year. I still say we take care of MLB in FA like I think we're going to do and draft CB 1st and DT 2nd. Balmer may slip, my personal favorite Dre Moore will be there, Trevor Laws, and Frank Okam should both be available. I don't think we will have any problem upgrading Young.

Re: Saints attention is on a D-tack
No guys, you have it all wrong. We're going to trade up to #3 or #4 to make sure that nobody else takes Balmer.
