Mark Simoneau, a two-year starter in the middle since being acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles as part of the Donte Stallworth trade, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this week. And Brian Simmons, who was given a three-year contract that will pay him a base salary of $3.3 million this season, failed to beat out Simoneau in training camp last summer. |
