Re: do you take ellis if he falls,
Ha ha, I think you have to take him at #10 if he falls there, which I doubt he will. As far as trading down goes, we never seem to do that in the first round. At this point, I hope we take a fine young corner, or Ellis if he falls, but not Kentwan Balmer.

Re: do you take ellis if he falls,
I have no problem with us taking Dorsey or Ellis at 10, thats justifiable. Taking Balmer at 10 is saying that we believe he is one of the 10 best talents in this draft and that is just insane.

Re: do you take ellis if he falls,
Short answer: yes.
Let me disclaim the inevitable, "_______ won't be there at 10" statements by saying. If any of the following guys are there at 10, I think you have to consider them and none of them would make me wonder, "What the ...?" As an additional disclaimer, I grouped the below by position. Sedrick Ellis -- I think he goes to Oakland Glen Dorsey -- Should go to Miami or Atlanta, but probably won't Phillip Merling -- Never stops playing hard, maybe too early to take at 10. Vernon Gholston -- I think he's a Jet or a Patriot, used identically either place Keith Rivers -- May get past us, but the Pats should like what they see in him. Jake Long -- St. Louis Ryan Clady -- Kansas City Chris Williams -- A reach Mike Jenkins -- My first preference, I hope he makes it to 10 Leodis McKelvin -- If Jenkins is gone, he probably makes it to 10 Mendenhall -- If we release Deuce, we know that Mendenhall can run between the tackles. |
