Re: Thank Goodness Faine is GONE...
Must be a reason to celebrate. The "worst" center in the league is now the highest paid center in the league. Even stranger he went to a divisional rival that has played against him the past 2 years. They probably didnt watch any game tape and just went on the 4 games he played against them.
I guess we should be happy we get to play against the "worst" center in the league 2 times this year. We wont have to worry about the screen pass but the qb might have a little extra time to go deep on us not like they had much problems with that last year. Well as bad as he was he sure got paid. Bucs didnt waste much time on it either I wonder if they thought other teams might be interested or they figured since they were up anyway might as well shell out 40 million. Some of the fans might not miss Faine but lets hope Brees doesnt think about him every time he gets sacked next year. Getting better thru subtraction? Maybe not this time. |

I thought Goodwin played much better than Faine in the 3-4 games he started. I don't think we miss a beat here and spend our money on the defense or maybe Faneca? Would that be a coup or what?

Apparently, one of the ESPN guys (it may have been Mayock) has Faine listed as the #2 OL free agent behind Faneca. Interesting.

Re: Thank Goodness Faine is GONE...
Or... a lot of Saints fans undervalue how good Faine really is. At least this year long debate is coming to an end.
