Bring Brooks back?
 

I know I gonna get some heat for this question but still. Should we bring Aaron Brooks back to be Drews backup. He is after all a QB that has played and started in this league. Good arm and decently mobile. Should be a better player than Martin atleast and not very expensive considering he didn't play last year.

I honestly almost vomited when I read this thread. How in the name of God can a New Orleans Saints fan want to bring Brooks back to NO?

I want to know who the 8 people are that want him back? I would rather have David Carr, Joey Harrington, or Ryan Leaf.

Gee, another Aaron Brooks thread. Yes, I think he could be a decent backup QB for some team, but not in New Orleans. If there is a MOD out there looking at this post, please put a lock on it and hit the delete key.

wow, and maybe we could trade our whole draft to the dolphins and get ricky back too. That would be super awesome. WTF are you smoking!!! AB couldn't keep a job on a lowly raiders team, and should be banished to the arena league or even the CFL! I'm all about getting rid of Martin, but this is absurd. Culpepper maybe, but not brooks!

I understand the Saints are interested in signing Vaughn Dunbar, Chris Naole, Alex Molden, and Jonathan Sullivan this off-season as well. It's gonna be called the 2008 Return of the Bums. The irony in all this is the signing of Gay for the Bum Tour.

I've been just as big a Brooks basher as anyone in here but If people would put some of the emotion aside and actualy look at the facts you will se a player who started 90 games in this leauge. More than 20000yds and 123 TDs to 92 INTs. Yes, fumbling was a problem as well as decision making but thats why I he should be in as a BACKUP.

Compare this to Martin who's a million years old and as started 8 games in the NFL. 3800yds and 20 TDs to 21 INTs. Martin has 10 career fumbles, thats more than one every game started. Brooks has 64 thats roughly 0,7 fumbles per game started.



Just wait for my next question.

There is a REASON Aaron doesn't play in this league anymore. If he was a viable option, even as a backup, then he wouldn't be watching the games from his living room couch. A team would've picked him up long ago.

Trust me. I'd rather have Martin in. And it's not as if I like Martin...

Hey, do yall remember when he would throw an interception or a incomplete pass and just smile. OMG I used to want to jump through the TV and choke that dude. He seriously was the only Saints player that I have ever seen that didnt give a *%$@ about this team. I feel what your saying in a way about his ability but his pure attitude gets a big NO from me.
