GREEN VISITS WITH SAINTS
Quarterback Trent Green recently announced that he has been medically cleared to play again. And now he has taken his first offseason visit. According to the AP, Green dropped in on the Saints on Monday. The current starter in New Orleans is Drew Brees, and Green would definitely be a backup there. But maybe that's a better situation for Green than risking his melon on every single play. The Saints also have re-signed receiver David Patten to a two-year deal. |

Re: Trent Green to visit
Green is one of those guys that makes you open yours eyes wide with a confused and bewildered look on your face, type of player.
Could he be a more predictable backup????? Sure, he has been a starter. Could he save a season for this team if Drew (God please don't let it happen) goes down with an injury????? Coin flip comes to mind on that one. |

Re: Trent Green to visit
Probably not but I think he'd have a better chance of doing it than Sorgi in Indianapolis or Cassel in New England. It would be a good signing if the price is reasonable.
