True, but I am not looking at 2 or 3 years from now. I'm looking to win a Superbowl NOW, while Brees is still with us. I think he's our best chance - the best chance we've ever had, and likely to be the best chance we WILL have in the next decade or so.

Fix the D now, don't worry too much about 4 years from now, because our window won't last.

Personally, I think Joey Harrington would be a better backup than either Martin or Trent Green. Mickey...get on the phone and make an inquiry!

Green is 37 with 14 seasons in the NFL and Harrington is 29 with 6 seasons in the NFL.

Green 6'3 at 217, career; 2228 completions, 3668 attemps, 60.7%, 27,950 yds.

Harrington is 6'4 at 222, career; 1424 completions, 2538 attempts, 56.1%, 14,693 yds.

see thats where i disagree, we have a real young team, most of our star players are young and are still learning the game.. our oline is pretty young except for a few guys and all of our WRs n RBs are young except for patton n deuce n stecker

we could be really good for 6-7 straight years

But that doesn't count the most important guy on the entire team - Brees. 6 or 7 years? Brees is either going to get hurt, or he's going to slow down well before 7 years come around. And though I don't know who his replacement will be, I'll bet you 100 to 1 whoever it is will not be in the same ballpark as Brees.

I really think - when Brees goes under, our window of opportunity goes with him. So make it count. NOW.

Anthony Morelli, Penn St., 6035, 231, 5.00
Alex Brink, Washington St., 6023, 211, 5.05

Here are two, as of now, UDFA in the draft that could be good projects

I say we should of traded for deangelo hall for our second round pick cause he's better then any 2nd round corner in the draft and take mendanhall with our #10 pick with that 1-2 punch with an occational pierre thomas we'd have the top rb crew in the league reggie could go back to just being all over the field . we should trade duece before the wheels fall off .

Re: Mel Kiper's most recent mock draft!

Did anybody else notice how high Kiper has Justin King going in this mock? He's got him going at #27 to the Chargers. Does anybody think he'll really go that high? I'm a big Penn State fan so I've seen alot of this kid and he can play. I was hoping he would slip under the radar and we could pick him up later on but if Kiper has him going in the first round then I guess the secret's out. Mel predicts where some players will go based on how much scouts are buzzing about them. There should be some buzz about this guy due to his workout numbers.

Trade down with MINN. Pick up a 2nd and a 4th IMHO this won't happen because RYAN won't get past the Ravens at #8
