Re: Who will the Saints draft 10th overall
trade down and get
Antoine Cason, Arizona, 5115, 182, 4.49 Cason is my guy at CB this year. He lacks ideal size but he is very strong and really gets in guy's grills and lets them know that he is covering them. It allows him to push and cushion as well as cushion and close out on underneath routes. One thing Cason does not have however is elite NFL speed. Speed is not as much of an issue if you stay in the WR face. The initial bump is key in man to man coverage. or Tracy Porter, Indiana, 5107, 186, 4.33 Faster version of Cason. He will not be around in two that is for sure. If he played just position in college he would be a sure fire top 15 pick. |

Re: Who will the Saints draft 10th overall
I know that the #10 pick is important, but remember two things: how deep this draft is, and that we also have the 41st pick (in the 2nd).
We should be getting a starter-calibre guy at 41, hopefully a #4-6 CB |

Re: Who will the Saints draft 10th overall
Trade down to the bottom of the first. Use the first round pick on Kenny Phillips from Miami, bye-bye to Josh Bullocks.
Use the other pick to draft best available defense, or negotiate a trade (Dewayne Robertson, assuming he'll restructure, gotta mitigate that cap hit). This would give us our first pass rushing DT since, what, the days of LaRoi Glover? Has it been that long?.... Use the 41st pick on a CB. That's my best guess, best scenario. Give us a "shoot the gap" type DT, paired with Hollis Thomas at nose (or Brian Young when Hollis is out for a breather), along with better play at LB (Morgan & Vilma & Fujita), along with better play at safety (Harper & Phillips), along with average play at CB (our draft pick and Gay).... I think we'd finally have a half-decent defense. Not great. But good enough. |
can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Re: Who will the Saints draft 10th overall
look our back field is bad period. Rivers would be great as a lb for us, but i say go for a cb,Aqib Talib will be gone at the 10th pick. so i like DRC.. and yes WHEELMAN...." Even an inexperienced rookie is better than Jason David."
