Leodis McKelvin...
I have been looking over a number of mock drafts and the consensus is if Rivers is taken prior to #10 the Saints will select McKelvin...
One of the analyst wrote... Just like the Bengals, the Saints need help on all 3 levels of defense, but the signings of B. McCray & J. Vilma should improve their front 7 for sure. Being ranked 30th against the pass should push them to take a DB here and McKelvin has been best called the best CB in the draft and his 4.38 40-time only helped him. He will start from day 1 and is an instant upgrade over every DB on their entire roster. Do you guys agree or disagree on this selection? |

Re: Leodis McKelvin...
I would be more than happy with this pick. It helps us in two vital areas we are weak in. CB and KR/PR. Can you imagine putting this kid and Bush back for kickoff returns? Or rotating him and Reggie on PR's.
If we get Ellis, DRC, Rivers, or McKelvin I will be happy. Anyone else and not so much. |

Re: Leodis McKelvin...
I personally hope they go this route. I love Rivers but I still think we need serious help at the DB position. Randall Gay is not the answer and Usama is unproven. I think we can still get a decent LB in the 2nd round. This is of course unless the two big DT's are gone. If one of those two guys are there I think we have to look at that option. I really hope they don't take McFadden.

well that was a tough call. anyone would be an upgrade to the secondary. LOL
I like the kid but I wish he was more of a ball hawk. He does not have the greatest hands in the world but he breaks up passes. He messured in shorter than he was listed to0. 5102. Kinda splitting hairs here |

I continue to say that this team needs a real good 3 tech D-TACKLE....We tried to trade for Stroud and made a run at Kelly who signed with the Raiders so look for us to draft the best D-TACKLE avaible on draft day.

Re: Leodis McKelvin...
yeah I'm starting to believe that we'll end up getting Dre Moore in the 2nd round, or another top Dtackle like Laws.
gun to my head right now we go 10th overall: Keith Rivers 40thish overall: Dre Moore/DTackle Keith Rivers just because I don't think we'll be lucky enough to get Dorsey or Ellis dropping, but obviously if we did we'd probably be able to go for them first round then grab a LB in the 2nd or 3rd. |
