TE isn't a position of need for the Saints. We resigned both or top two FA TEs. The Saints still really need another LB, DT, and CB. Even presuming that we fill one of these positions with the #10 pick, we really need to fill another at #40. Our defense isn't good enough to play the BPA game this draft. Maybe next year. Re: the more important draft selection: 2nd round
Cason would be sweet. but I think the chance of conner falling to us is greater than him. Yep I like him. He is the most under rated CB in the draft is for some reason flying way under the radar. A tree top Flyer.
TE in round 2? trade way back then I could see it. He is like the CBs in that you have to ask why he played the way he did in 2007 and then turned in a great combine. |

Re: the more important draft selection: 2nd round
If we draft a CB in the 1st (Ellis and Dorsey gone) which I think we will, then we will draft either Moore or Laws in the 2nd. I think we'll see alot of defense out of this draft.
But I do have one thought; the Saints maybe thinking Deuce is done and they may draft Mendenhall in the 1st. |

If we take CB in round one I love Xavier Adibi. If we take Rivers in round one I say Laws or Cason and dont be surprise if Kenny Phillips is still on the board in round two.

I even think we brought Bellamy back after he got cut rather than letting Gleason play safety. Gleason was always a special teamer, and only a safety because he's required to belisted at some position. He might as well have been listed at DT. I loved Gleason, but he obviously couldn't play safety. |
