Name That Tune?
The singing of the national anthem by Saints wide receiver Derrick Lewis was as impressive as any I've ever heard. The sound system in the dome is embarrising, yet he delivered a strong and clear rendition of what is arquably one of the hardest songs to sing. His efforts on the field during the game were impressive enough to get him a roster spot but if not, they should give him one for his singing abilities alone. They could have hymn sing it every week and save Mr. Benson a few bucks for not having to pay a guest singer. The team should have the tape of this played in the locker room before all future games. If this doesn't inspire and fire up teammates, not much else will. The Elvis look a like that was in attendance was shown several times on the big screen and I'm pretty sure I saw his curled up lip muttering.....That Lewis cat got some pipes, man! Thank You. Thank You very much.
