Trade Down!
If we trade down we can get better value and extra picks, High rated DT's (D. Robertson and J. Sullivan) never live up to the hype and CB's are deep in this draft with alot of question marks at the top(small schools). I would rather drop down get Rivers or a corner in round one and hope Cason falls to two or take the best d-man available.

Re: Trade Down!
I can't argue trading down. Snag some extra picks. Plenty of talent, and no question I think we are sitting in a great spot to where every option is available to us.
Trading up to 6... in front of the pats will do a lot of good as well. Snaging whomever we think we need the most just before the Pats get there pic. Especially if its a DT or LB. I don't think we should take chances if someone is your guy you got get him. The only thing I can see us taking at the 10 spot is a WR. |

Haloti Ngata, Tommie Harris, Travis Johnson, John Henderson, Marcus Stroud, Vince Wilfork, Broderick Bunkley, Casey Hampton, Luis Castillo, Albert Haynesworth, Booger McFarland. But in terms of the trade down, if we could trade down to somewhere later in the first round, I'd be all for that. However that just doesn't happen very often. I really don't want to trade out of the first round. |

Re: Trade Down!
I think we stay put at #10. Someone we don't expect to be there is going to fall to us.

Hey Deuce, some of the players you mentioned weren't even top ten, but if you want to go first round here are a couple of first rounders for you. Trevor Johnson, William Joseph, , Ryan Simms, Wendal Bryant, Gerrald Warren, Damione Lewis, Reggie McGrew and John McCargo. There are alot of top 10 guys in there that were certain NFL stars that haven't done sh!t with there teams or are on there 2nd or 3rd team

Re: Trade Down!
True Husker, there are a lot of top 10 DTs that don't make it. But if you look at those drafts, I'd bet you'd find that a lot of the guys that didn't make it weren't graded as highly as Dorsey or Ellis. These guys receive elite draft grades and, although it's obviously not a sure thing, appear to be pretty safe picks. A guy like John McCargo who was picked high was probably drafted that high because he filled the need and was the best DT in a mediocre pool of talent. The DTs in this draft are actually pretty deep, led by elite-graded Dorsey and Ellis.

Re: Trade Down!
Gerrald Warren, Ryan Simms, Wendall Bryant, Jimmy Kennedy, Jon Sullivan, Dewayne Robertson all elite DT's in the last couple of years, What happened to them? If you go back and see how they were rated, it can't be any worse than Dorsey and Ellis. These were all players coming out that didn't have questions about injuries in college, they were going to turn programs around. Sound about right?
