Saints interested in T. Spikes??
In addition to the 49ers, the Patriots, Browns, and Saints are reportedly interested in free agent LB Takeo Spikes.
The Saints can never have enough injury-prone linebackers. The Pats would likely provide Spikes his best chance to start, but may be offering the least money. The Niners are said to be unconcerned about Spikes' balky shoulder per rotoworld Fantasy Football - news, projections, rankings, draft guide - Rotoworld.com |

Re: Saints interested in T. Spikes??
PHILADELPHIA -- Takeo Spikes needs surgery on a torn rotator cuff, and the Philadelphia Eagles said Wednesday they will place the veteran linebacker on injured reserve.
Spikes, injured in Sunday's 10-6 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, will have surgery on Friday and miss the last two games of the season. Noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews of Birmingham, Ala., will perform the operation. The injury ends a solid first season with the Eagles for Spikes, acquired in a three-player deal from Buffalo in March. Predictably, he is not happy about being placed on IR. Renowned orthopedist James Andrews operated on Brees after his throwing shoulder was ripped apart diving for a goal-line fumble in San Diego's 2005 season finale against the Denver Broncos — a game that proved to be Brees' last in a Chargers uniform. Andrews told Brees his odds of a successful comeback were 500-1. well the same doctor is a good sign |

Oh heck yeah, bring him aboard! His rotator cuff injury should not be an issue for him. The guy probably has a couple of good seasons left in him.

Sign him up! Dr. James Andrews is the best in the biz so I'm sure he's got him fixed up. His shoulder should be fine but he's still gonna be washed up. Sounds like a Saints LB to me!

If we were willing to chance on Dan Morgan, we better be willing to take the same chance on Spikes. Spikes is a perrenial Pro Bowler when healthy.
