Re: Dorsey, Dorsey, Dorsey...
True, all true points. But another thing to consider is Dorsey won't be on the field for every defensive snap, no matter how good his conditioning or motor are. He'll need spelling, just like everyone else in the defensive rotation. Further, there will be times when he's playing hurt, or out of the game completely due to injury. And during the rest of those plays, our weaknesses at LB, S, and CB will be prominently displayed.
To me, trading up to get Dorsey, resulting in leaving those other positions unaddressed, is a recipe for failure on defense. But of course... I'd LOVE to have Dorsey, as I stated before. If we didn't have to trade away our other picks to get him, I'd draft him in a heartbeat. |

Guys, don't forget that we don't necessarily have to package another high pick with our first rounder to move up. For instance, Kansas City needs both offensive lineman and wide receivers. Henderson and Stinchcomb are players with decent trade value, and we have good depth at their positions.

Atlanta is a rebuilder, in every sense of the word. That offense is attrocious, and to be honest, the defense isn't much better. If I were on defense, I wouldn't want to play for a team, that is so bad offensively, that I'm going to be on the field 75% of every game we play next season. Dorsey will get worn down fast on a team like this. |
