Updated 2008 NFL Mock Draft - Three Rounds: Round 3 - The War Room Report

Saints picks according to this mock are;

#10 Keith Rivers, OLB, USC
#40 Pat Sims, DT, Auburn
#78 Martin Rucker, TE, Missouri

However, I hope the Saints find a trading partner and move down in the 1st round to get another pick in the 2nd. Use the lower first round to choose a CB (BPA), and hopefully Connor and Sims in the second! Wishful thinking on my part!

This would proivde three D players on day one and then go for the TE Rucker starting day two.

I'd be very pleased with this draft. I know with the whole DT-CB thing going on, my original draft crush, Keith Rivers, has kind of fallen to the wayside. I do want to reiterate, however, how much I think it would rock if we got this guy. Think about our linebacking corps: Fujita, Vilma, Rivers. That's an athletic group right there, one that is capable of making plays like we haven't been able to do in years past.

Don't know much about Pat Sims, isn't he the guy who has motivation problems?

I agree with this one especially if we can land Sheppard or Darnell Terrell in the 5th

I dunno. Maybe. I'm still concerned about the safety position (especially if Harper gets traded).

Without a 4th round pick this year (sent to the Jets for Vilma)...the search will be on for UDFA.
