i would do back flips if kenny phillips drops into the saints' laps in the second round! that guy was once considered a top 15 pick.

Me too. But does anyone really think that's going to happen? It's just wishful thinking, it'd be too good a deal.

Re: 2 new espn mock drafts

According to Kiper's draft Ellis and Ryan would still be available at 8. If that's the case, then the Saints should be really interested in swapping 1's with Baltimore to get Ellis. Cincinnati isn't going to pick Ryan. So Baltimore could get their guy for a cheaper price, we get the DT that we really need.

It looks like to make the values match we'd have a problem. The 100 point difference is in the ballpark of a 4th round pick, which we don't have.

Re: 2 new espn mock drafts

WOW. Keith Rivers and Kenny Phillips! Even if Kiper is right with DRC and the other guy with Phillips in the second round, that would still rule. All I know is the Saints had better not screw up in this draft. Too many potentially great players. If the Saints hit home runs with this draft, to go along with what looks like a decent free agency run, all could look great for 2008! Who knows, maybe a Super Bowl win is no longer out of the question??? Look, I know it's premature but the Saints already have a significant amount of the pieces already in place. Just a couple more pieces and the miracle just may happen.
