Re: Will Rivers move up the board?
Is it possible rivers can move up the board? yes. By how much is the question. I feel pretty certain rivers goes to the Saints at #10. However, I have seen mocks with him going to Cincy at 9. I don't see Rivers going higher than 9 imo. I think the excellent Pro-Day further warrants the Saints selecting him at 10 as expected. I am thinking that Cincy will grab him first leaving us with an open-ended decision on where to go with the pick. Mendenhall, Clady, or a CB.
Rivers is a decisive selection. It would be hard to argue that he will not perform well in the NFL. There is security with the pick and not much scrutiny. However, any other pick from a saints standpoint will come with some level of scrutiny. I hope for the sake of the organization and this forum that rivers is there. Everyone here has a differing opinion on who we should select if rivers, ellis, and dorsey are gone off the board. Time will tell. But it should be interesting. I disagree on the point that teams have solidified there boards on 3 Apr. True, there is no more film to gain. But pro days and personal workouts are still taking place. |
