We aren't going to cut him, that would be to much of a CAP hit. I don't think many teams will want him at that price tag but we sure as hell won't get much for him in a trade either. 4th or 5th rounder maybe or worse??? |

Re: If available, this is our #10 pick...
I'd LOVE to get Rivers, but if we can move up to 7 (swap picks w/Pats, possibly giving them our 3rd or 4th round pick to move up 3 spots) to get Ellis or Dorsey, that would be better. Harvey should not even be on our radar, not only do we have too much coin wrapped up in two serviceable ends, but the reason that those ends are not producing is that they are double-teamed every snap because our DTs are sub-par. A big-time DT would not only free up our ends to rush, it would also take some blocks off Vilma, and he's been known to struggle shedding blocks throughout his career--we'll be killing two birds with one stone. That said, Dorsey, Ellis, or Rivers would all be great for us...DRC has BUST written all over him...

Swap #8 for #10 and swap the Saints #3 for the Raven's #4 and #5. It leaves us about 10 points short, but who cares? We'd have our guy and they'd have their guy cheaper. SFIAH |

If ellis is there at 8...i say make the trade with Baltimore if the picks work out...i don't know about throwing in the kitchen sink but if the selections we exchange with the ravens work good for us...then great!...if we don't trade up to 8...cincy for sure takes him...I'd still be happy to take rivers at 10 as a secondary option! I see this as a win-win situation
