Kentwan Balmer = next Jonathan Sullivan
Sliders
Kentwan Balmer, DT, North Carolina Balmer, an enormously talented prospect who was an underachiever in college, continues to annoy scouts with his apathetic attitude. His 40 time last week on a fast track was an improvement over his combine mark. Yet Balmer refused to run a second 40, claiming he hurt his hamstring, an ailment many questioned. He later proceeded to take part in position drills which left scouts scratching their heads. Re: Kentwan Balmer = next Jonathan Sullivan
I would however, love to see us use one of our first day picks on this guy though if we don't get Ellis:
Risers Frank Okam, DT -- Texas Okam weighed in 12 pounds lighter than he did at the combine, tipping the scales at 335. His 40s were in the 5.2 area, a full .15 faster than his dash across the floor of the RCA Dome. He later participated in position drills, which included work on the offensive line. Okam's size, strength and mentality has a number of league decision-makers feeling he may be better as a blocker at the next level than on the defensive line. |

What about Sam Baker in the third?
Sam Baker, OL, USC Baker significantly damaged his draft stock this week as he looked slow and sluggish during pro-day. His 40 times were as slow at 5.50. He barely got under the eight-second mark in the three cone and looked unimpressive in position drills. Scouts came away thinking he has little opportunity to play tackle in the NFL. Baker was considered a late first round prospect at one time but could now slip into the third frame. |

Re: Kentwan Balmer = next Jonathan Sullivan
I have a strong feeling Okam will have a lot of trouble keeping his weight down after he makes it to the NFL... but then again a lot of DT's do. But, Okam already has that issue which is not encouraging.
