How will the weak economy impact your Saints spending?

Just interested to see if folks Saints budgets are gonna be impacted by the downturn in the US economy. I've seen posts regarding fans going to London for the Saints game and with the exchange rate at a 2 for 1 loss its quite an expensive trip.

If my wife thinks this downturn will get me to cancel my HD Sunday ticket this year she is sorely mistaken. She will just have to buy 2 less pairs of shoes this year.

Saints Plans for 2008
1. buy the jersey of our first rounder
2. make trip to london oct. 26 (yes 2 to 1 does suck)
3. trip to n.o. for a home game
4. watch the remainder of games at local bar(probly more expensive than 1-3 after beer and food )

Re: How will the weak economy impact your Saints spendi

Well, let's see. I've got tens of thousands of new debt (courtesy of Katrina). Not quite hundreds, but I had enough savings to just limit that to just tens of thousands. Half of my friends have committed suicide (OD's, guns, & hangings), and the rest of my family has died of natural causes (no schitt - mother, father, both grandmothers) since the storm hit. But in reality I think it was the FEMA trailers that speeded their endings. My friends and family lost their homes and livelihoods during the storm, which no doubt certainly contributed, and since then, the economy has crashed, making things even better than before.

The bankruptcy laws were changed one month after Katrina hit, (coincidence?), making debt forgiveness illegal to half the population, so no matter how much you owe, no matter how much you work - the debt will always still be there, wages will always be garnished. Did I say there's no way to get ahead? I didn't really mean that. So, all in all, I'd have to say, yes, the economic downturn has effected me and mine somewhat. But other than that, everything is just so wonderfully great.

All that being said - don't cry for me. I will always find the cash to watch my Saints games, religiously, every week, week in, week out, just as I have for the last 20 or 30 years. And I will still find a way to be solidly drunk during the process, whether I have a bag over my head or not. The day I lose my Saints games - you can bury me.

Anymore questions?

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Qui a laissez sortir les chiens!

If I have the I'll buy it, but if don't I won't. Saving to go to the Saints Redskin game, and Saints Panthers game.
