Pro Football Weekly on Saints

I saw this on another board and thought it was interesting. There was no link but here it is.

The following quotes were made to Pro Football Weekly by NFL scouts, coaches and front-office personnel.

"I really like what you see and hear out of New Orleans: nothing. With everyone talking about Tampa Bay is a lock to repeat and Atlanta is a Super Bowl contender, watch Jimmy Haslett's boys sneak up there like a rattlesnake. (The Saints) know they can beat Tampa Bay. If Aaron Brooks comes back, the offense will be tough. It all depends on the 'D' for those guys."

"A lot of people blamed Joe Horn for stirring up the pot in the Saints locker (a couple of years ago). Joe Johnson was the real culprit. They wouldn't have let him go and re-signed Horn if it was the other way around. Now, you're seeing the same thing in Green Bay. I was surprised the Packers took a chance on him, knowing his character. He's very talented -- one of the best in the game when he's healthy -- but I don't want him on my team with all the baggage he brings. Even the Saints, who are infamous for signing turds (ignoring character concerns), knew enough to get rid of him. But what is one man's trash is another team's treasure. They filled a big need."

"The Saints keep looking for reasons why they flounder in the fourth quarter. It has nothing to do with keeping legs fresh and everything to do with mental toughness. When the going gets tough, they crumble. A big part of that falls on the coaches. They have to do a much better job of motivating their players."

Wow, Joe Johnson was the only player I heard Haslett say he regretted letting go.
