dude chill. DTs are kind of like forwards in basketball...the 3 and 4 are both forwards, but the 3 is considered a "small" forward and the 4 is usually called a "power" forward. heck, some coaches even call them wings! on the roster it will say forward, but it is a term used. i have often seen 1 DT on a starting line up designated as a NT (usually a big, fat, ugly guy like hollis thomas or gilbert brown). no, it is not the "official" term used on most team rosters, but it is commonly used lingo. just like a "mike" LB or a "nickel" corner...you won't find these terms on a team roster, but they are commonly used terms |
