Re: imperfect 10's

Both went on and had solid careers in the pros. Two solid picks and two solid players lost. So what is this imperfect stuff? What more can you ask for? they actually got paid what they were worth right out of the block. Or is it more about the imperfect atmosphere the players had to face in NO? What does that say? The media drove them out of town.
Well I think things have changed a lot since then.
I remember the picks and I liked them back then, a bit of a reach, but they turned out to be good picks. Just like Turley.

Re: imperfect 10's

"The thing that hurt me the most was getting hurt my rookie year," Naeole said back then. "People were like, 'See, he's a bust.' So the whole time, you end up fighting that, even though you didn't create those expectations."
this quote really caught my eye b/c everyone was sayin it about reggie and about meachem their first years in the league... it really makes saints fans look bad

Re: imperfect 10's

Well pack I was going to include the fans in my statement about the media but I left them out. To many fans follow where ever the media leads them. Imagine if Chris Naeole actual finished his career here instead of Jacksonville. I always hated the way he was treated here.
As far as Ken Burrough goes I really do not know if that many people remember how good he was in Houston in the 70's.
There is a lesson to be learned and I wonder if we really learned from these or the Roaf screw up. Call up the media outlets and voice your support for players they just wont accept. The media can do more damage than good.

Just makes ya think the draft is a crap shoot. Thats why you should never pay these guys the money that they are getting paid.

Rookie Salary cap. Let them Earn It.
