Martellus Bennett

I am an Aggie, so I am a litte biased, but if we didn't trade for Shockey, and felt the need to draft a TE, I like Bennett a lot. The kid is huge (6' 7'' 253) for one. I see a lot of people saying that there is not a complete TE in the draft, but I feel like Bennett definitely could be. If you go back and watch some game film Bennett is a dominant blocker for his size. That's really what has impressed me the most about him. I haven't seen many 6'7'' players that can drive people off the line of scrimage like Bennett. And I saw this every game. As far as catching, the Ags were a run first team with a horrible passing scheme. A lot of dink and dunk passing. I think if Bennett were put on a team that could get him the ball down field he could become an all around tight end. His lack of reciving stats in college were more of a result of the offense he was in rather than his ability

That's my shout out to the Ags. Please don't consider any one else from A&M though. They're all terrible

Re: Martellus Bennett

I remember when Bennett was being recruited, he was suppose to be the next best thing... the second coming of Gates. Very lofty expectations which is understandable why he never met them.

With that said, I love his athleticism and what he potentially can bring to the table. If he's still there in the third, I'd love to have him.

Mark it down, this guy will be a much better pro than college player. T A&M just didn't know how to use him.

Hey cajunasian61, I'm a Penn State fan. Did you watch the Alamo Bowl last season. It was a good game.

Re: Martellus Bennett

He maybe the best all around TE in the draft. He has hands among the best in the draft. The big thing about him I like is he is from A&M. Run first means he is a good blocker.
