this could move us up to nine and change many things as to moving up or down.........don't write it off just yet............ NFL | Goodell to speak with Walsh soon Fri, 18 Apr 2008 11:31:22 -0700 Updating an ongoing story, John Tomase, of the Boston Herald, reports NFL commissioner Roger Goodell expressed hope that a deal allowing former New England Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh to talk will be struck soon. Goodell said he has never met Walsh but is looking forward to meeting him in the near future. "He's indicated he has evidence and new information that would lead to further disciplinary action. I'm anxious to meet with him. I hope that'll happen some time in the next couple weeks," Goodell said. |

That's why Goodell is saying in "the next couple weeks". New England will still get to pick at #7. After the draft, the NFL will probably take away next year's 2nd round pick or some BS like that.

What is Goddell waiting for?
Has the NFL office been too busy taking away home games and not granting compensation picks and scheduling games in Chicago in December? As for the draft, one spot doesn't matter. You are either in this one or you are out, and we are 4 spots out. |

yeah yeah yeah. Why in the world would they do anything more after the Burning? pak is right. Walsh's career is over in football. Snitches do not last long in sports. So he will get his pay off and "super size value meals" for the rest of his life. Maybe it will be "paper or plastic" instead. But he will be sitting on a big fat wad when all is said and done. And this will all go away. If the Pats loose another pick I bet they will get some nice supplemental picks in exchange for a few years to make up for it.
Yep it is a good ol boys network. Think Mafia here for a minute. You take the rap, keep your mouth shut and do the time. You then get your pay off. |
