I\'m sorry to hear that. He\'s an exciting player and fun to watch. Sure I want the Saints to win, but I want to beat their BEST. What good does it do for a team to beat the best team but they only play their 2nd string players?

Plus, I don\'t want anyone to be hurt like that.

i agree...screw Vick. You think Falcon fans would cry and moan if Deuce or Stallworth or Horn got hurt? Hell no. Learn how to adapt to the NFL Vick or you wont go far

So, should Brooks not run?

What about, Tarkenton, Staubauch, Young? You don\'t think most teams would kill to get those guys? comon. Be real Brooks, while not as mobile as Vick, give us an added dimension that teams like Denver, Miami and others would love to have.

Besides, based on the picture, he WAS playing QB and trying to avoid a sack...unsuccessfully aparently.

This just goes to show you that luck DOES play a role in the NFL. Even though it is really ****ty luck for the Falcons that Vick got hurt, you gotta say that it\'s good luck on the SAINTS part.

Sorry a great player went down, but better Vick than Brooks.

Go SAINTS!!!!!

After the way Saints fans were treated at Atlanta last year I don\'t feel a bit sorry for them. That owner has pissed everyone in this league off with the way he has shut out companies from other cities from buying tickets for the Atlanta games. He made the security guards change to black and red uniforms just because the standard yellow and black might be mistaken for Saints fans. We were treated by having things thrown at us the entire game, one of our friends was assaulted after the game walking back to his car, and this has all started to take place with Michael \"I am God\" Vick and the fans forgeting where they were before he got there. And now? That\'s right, stick in your a** Atlanta!

he was not trying to avoid a sack

watch it again, there is a little pressure from the outside so he steps up in the pocket where the blocking is still holding up but then he sees a lane to his right and takes off

granted you can\'t see the coverage downfield but i\'m sure someone was open after that amount of time, he didn\'t even look

Why does everyone keep talking about how a QB can\'t run around like that and not expect to get hurt? Of course he can. Vick is 6-0, 215. Throw 10 pounds on him and he\'s bigger than the average starting runningback in the NFL. Barry Sanders was MUCH smaller and made the same kinds of moves and if he hadn\'t retired we\'d all be saying Emmitt who right now.

Shaun Alexander 5-11 225
Tiki Barber 5-10 200
Michael Bennet 5-9 209
Trung Candidate 5-11 205
Corey Dillion 6-1 225
Warrick Dunn 5-9 180
Kevin Faulk 5-8 202
Marshall Faulk 5-10 211
Olandis Gary 5-11 218
Garrison Hearst 5-11 215
Travis Henry 5-9 215
Priest Holmes 5-9 213
Edgerrin James 6-0 214
Curtis Martin 5-11 205
Deuce McAllister 6-1 221
Michael Pitman 6-0 218
Clinton Portis 5-11 205
Emmitt Smith 5-10 221
LaDainian Tomlinosn 5-10 221

Almost all of your Pro Bowl caliber runningbacks are in that list and you\'ll see there really isn\'t a guy much more than 5-7 pound heavier than Vick. If these guys can carry the ball 30 times a game, why can\'t Vick? It was a freak accident. He got hurt just the same as Priest Holmes got hurt... and Holmes got hurt much worse and is only 5-9 213. Where were you guys last year when he got hurt? Why didn\'t I hear then that Priest just couldn\'t expect to run like that and not get hurt?
