Dorsey is the best defensive player in this draft, he's from Louisiana, won a national championship with Louisiana State University, & is one of the highest character guys in the draft. To me, this is a no brainer....give up the 1st & 2nd for Dorsey!

The Saints end up with #19, #40, Lito or #49. At #19 maybe LB;Mayo, CB;Talib, S;Phillips, Servicable DT's would be Laws, Sims, Harrison with #40. At #49 (if Lito is excluded) CB's, Cason, Porter, or TE Keller or use #49 for Shockey if still available. Numerous options. My belief is Benson is cheap, and I mean really cheap and will not want to pay #2 $$$$ for Dorsey. That's my opinion, and am sticking with it! We all will find out soon enough...come on Saturday. |

first of all I'm getting sick of the "benson is cheap" nonsense. you have no idea if he is or isn't cheap, that just seems like the trendy thing to say these days and we really have no reason to say things like that. he paid #2 money to Reggie, we paid top dollar for Brees (which was at the time a huge risk), and this organization has shown that it'll do whatever it takes money wise to get the best team together. anyway, I would prefer to send our 1st and 2nd to the Rams for the #2 and get Dorsey. then, I'd like to send a conditional pick next year for Shockey. I'd probably guarantee a 2nd rounder, and if he hits some performance incentives (lets say a pro bowl type season) they get a first. I don't think they could resist a possible 1st rounder for him. in the third we get a solid LB/CB and in the 5th we'll see if any of the RBs drop. |
